(my friend was knocked unconscious my Freshman year of high school, and she had a very strange vision. This poem is based off of what she saw.)
I will show you how to get by,
In my room of only black,
I can teach you how to untie,
All the things that hold you back,
I can free you from the reasons,
That could lead to your demise,
I can save you from all treasons,
I will vanquish out the lies,
And if you come and find me,
By free will and that alone,
You will break my chains and I'll be free,
And I'll point you to my stone...

Oh savior! Alluring,
Enduring.... Assuring
Swift raindrops come pouring,
Come luring.... Obscuring
Go swiftly! Forgetting,
Offsetting... regretting,
Lost in the setting,
Come letting... Fretting
How sentient! Creative,
Probative… Addictive,
Wistfully animative,
Allusive… Exclusive
This passion! I'm feeling,
Healing... Revealing
My head spins, its reeling,
Appealing... Consealing
Oh Saivor! So Curing,
My mourning.... my warning
Discussions ensuring,
During... maturing

Elongated Elegy
In the village past her grave,
The people think of what she gave,
In our land of barren shore,
We will see her nevermore,
Thoughts of shame for our mistake,
For it was never ours to take,
What we thought was our's to break,
A wretched burning at the stake,
Her mother's sorrow we must bear,
We think of what she had to share,
Our hearts heavy with regret,
Now there's no way to forget,
She was clever, strong, and kind,
Gifted with a genius mind,
Which we took as reasons to believe,
That she had motives to decieve,
With her grave now daily blessed,
Chains 'round her casket to give her rest,
Now we're subjected to this curse,
Since the day she left the hearse,
Now our children wake in screams,
Seeing the witch inside their dreams,
And when the crops began to die,
The casket nails the priest did pry,
Though we were sure that she had died,
There was nothing found inside,
In our land of barren shore,
The ghost remains part of our lore,
Three hundred years and still we pray,
To repent the action of that day,
Still her presence here is know,
The girl with "witch" carved on her stone...

Sonnet
Suffering and lost; a burdened martyr,
And yet my feelings hide when you come near,
Upon drawing close, my soul you barter,
A trade so made in purest vain my dear,
Please cleanse me to clear my foolish choices,
Use that ancient darkened wisdom to numb,
Go you now to hush these evil voices,
And soon in darkened passion I'll succumb,
Show me how with grace you stand your trials,
With hope in mind please burn my doubts and fears,
Hold my hand, we'll walk for endless miles,
And with us far away you'll stop my tears,
May you be lost in fervent passion stay,
For now I see you let my soul decay...

Do I Stand Before Thee
No longer flawless do I stand before thee,
Still just as loveless as I could be,
False sense of justice, to laws I could not see,
No longer me,
Do I stand before thee,
Like the past, the memories too are broken,
Such things can't last, for quiet angels screaming "heathen",
Heart beating fast, but still I'm barely breathin',
Unhealing cast, I guess I'm finally leavin',
No longer me,
Do I stand before thee,
My heart not for you, stone cold, black, rejected,
The ugly true, thing of me you detested,
When from the blue, came all my thoughts corrected,
I must pursue, the voices that left me unprotected,
No longer me,
Do I stand before thee,
They break my dreams, yet promise rest unending,
They sound like screams, accusing me of pretending,
Their outlines gleam, but what I see is with their power lending,
Though it would seem, from them I need defending,
No longer me,
Do I stand before thee,
But it is no longer YOU, who will stand unharmed from me!
Do now I stand before thee,
As your nightmare, fate, enemy...
Still just as loveless as I could be,
False sense of justice, to laws I could not see,

You want me,
You need me,
Our way of hating you,
Our way of needing you,
Under a longing to protect you with lines of scratched glass,
Under a longing for you to mar my face,
'ere a beauty yet to be named,
'ere a dawning of a bit of anthrax,
Ready to fill in the grooves with blood and with tar,
Ready to give me a taste of cyanide,
Even capable of ruining their labcoats,
Even capable of exposing their whore secretaries,
Allow me to lick clean your wounds with flames and saline,
Allow me to rub the ash tray dust from your pallid mouth,
Mothers, leave your children in their burning cribs,
Mother's love can't save them from their sin,
Over the drifting edge of the clockmaker's pleasure,
Over the gallant strides of the whoreson and his fool's pride,
No one can tred in the wake of your vanity,
No one would dare to shovel you unwittingly,
Scars cast a glare on your ugly face,
Scars show to the world that you have grown old,
Tears, oh what a foolish thing to shed for you!
Tears are all that you have left in my stores,
Everything was perfect, until you,
Everything... you...
Really all I can say is that you impress me,
Really I just wish to be thee...

No More Prayer
(Oh Goddess, I knew I'd find the old unrequited love poems XD)
You are the fruit I cannot reach,
You are the jewel that costs too much,
And yet you tease me with your speech,
And yet you tempt me with your touch,
It's true I feel it's tragic,
And it's true I interfered,
I even used a little magick,
Just to try to hold you dear,
My love shall burn always forever,
But it shall choose another love,
So now my love for you I sever,
May it never rise above,
And yet a part of me will suffer,
Because it wants to hold you close,
But it's that part that makes me tougher,
So I treasure it the most,
How can I feel this way about you,
When you do not feel the same?
I'll go and find the one who's true,
God I wish I knew their name,
And so I pray for you no longer,
I'm glad you helped me out that night,
This will only make me stronger,
And now I see things will be right,
So when the blood moon journies high,
I'll be free from all your woes,
And if you look up in the sky,
You may see a crimson rose

Shadow
The Moon
Snow-white obsession,
Liquid, Lurid, transgression,
Against God and Her Splendor,
Awestruck shalt she render,
A promise forgotten,
Memories turned rotten,
Forgetting blue daydreams,
In starlight and moonbeams,
Unsettled assurance,
Toward needless remembrance,
Faces are blackened,
Emphasizing love lackened,
Burned cross and ashes,
Self illusionment crashes,
And barriers broken,
With words never spoken,
Look up to your master,
With hearts beating faster,
And lose all your senses,
As God recompenses,
Recoil and cower,
At her fullest hour,
All thoughts dissipated,
In mindset, elated,
Broken... unfeeling,
And reeling and reeling,
And spinning and turning,
And yearning... and yearning...
For you... Selene...
((You'll notice the last stanza is very parallel to the end of Chicago Summer- this was intentional. Chicago Summer is to physical desire as The Moon is to spirituality. They're opposite sides of the same poem, I hope you enjoy) :)

Think of Me (won the 2007 FSEMS poetry slam)
When the darkness plucks asunder,
When the moonlight is obscure,
When the heavens sound the thunder,
When the skies begin to pour,
Think of me...
When the wind speaks of madness,
When twilight gives its cry,
When the willows groan with sadness,
When the summer starts to die,
Think of me...
When you find legends full of power,
When the secrets do unfold,
When you hold an azure flower,
When you reflect on days of old,
Think of me...
When you look for more than darkness,
When you gently kiss the rain,
When a stranger gives you kindness,
When there's strength behind the pain,
Think of me...
When you sit and you are crying,
When you think that you're alone,
When you feel that you are dying,
When you kneel beside my stone,
Think of me...
When your days are dark and tragic,
When I whisper in the night,
When nature shows her magick,
When you look and find the light,
Think of me...
When you see a little spider,
When the moon touches your face,
When your problems feel much lighter,
When you see an insect's grace,
Think of me...
When you push away the sorrow,
When you feel the autumn sun,
When you dream about tomorrow,
When you knew I was the one,
Think of me...
When the darkness plucks asunder,
When the moonlight is obscure,
When the heavens sound the thunder,
When the skies begin to pour,
Think of me...
(Wow... so much time has gone by since I wrote this one, and yet, I still feel so connected to it. This is the poem that started all the others.)

Chicago Summer
Separate by states, and cars, and roads,
And age a factor, that too, forebodes,
Driving passion lasting through the day,
For the one who lives too far away,
A cool summer night with fireflies,
Holding you tight, and assured by your eyes,
A longing for kisses lingers and plays,
And parts you by something far less than highways,
Tending to passion like a fire,
Warm and reeling from desire,
Safe and sound held in your arms,
Allured by your humor, assuaged by your charms,
Trembling breaths is a most pleasing sound,
Drifting pulsations to senses surround,
Fingers drifting down your skin,
Innocent pleasure, indulgement in sin,
Sweat drops form from driving exertion,
Hearts pounding fast from total immersion,
Coming down from a drifting cloud,
Private kisses in a public crowd,
To see you, to hold you, the feeling is burning,
A deep compassion for you I am learning,
Is a joyous thing, and I'm spinning and turning,
Wistfully thinking, and listlessly yearning,
For a summer night in Chicago.

I Need You- November 20th 2007
You're the stormy clouds across the sky,
You're the angel wings that help me fly,
You're the happy ending to my dream,
But we can't be together it would seem,
You're the passion that gets me through the day,
You're the one, but you're so far away,
You're autumn wind blowing through the trees,
And my love for you brings me to my knees,
You're the tiny drops of ice cold rain,
You're the one, I think, who keeps me sane,
You're the full moon glinting in me eyes,
And you're my crimson rose that never dies,
I know I haven't held you close to me,
But you're the one that goes to set me free,
And I wish I could see you every night,
Before I close my eyes, you're the last thing in sight,
So are there thunderstorms in Tennessee?
When I look at the stars, is it you I see?
Can this really be where the story ends?
Have we just been playing pretend?
No it cannot be, its more than this,
We were meant to be, in love and bliss,
So for now keep looking at the moon,
Please don't worry baby, I'll be there soon...

My Precious Suicide Seven
To the one who makes me tremble,
Thou has gone by many a name,
Reverie from your wake to assemble,
Giving in to this perilous game,
To the one who invokes passion,
Your names are growing fewer yet,
Setting limits of love to ration,
With lingering bits I can't forget,
To the one who makes me smile,
And now your names have lessened more,
Holding my heart all the while,
Reaching my soul at its core,
To the one who sparked my vengeance,
Or is apt to doing so,
I will hold you in remembrance,
Though you fill me heart with woe,
To the one whose care is still for me,
You have lost another now,
You could break my chains with mercy,
If you simply knew just how,
To the one who is sincere,
This one's written just for you,
I would be with you my dear,
For I feel your heart is true,
To the one who wants me most,
I can give my love today,
As you prey upon your host,
I will in turn fade away,
To the one who shows no chances,
Of a warm song or embrace,
My heart hears your name and dances,
Though no signs are on your face,
Thou hast been a kindred lover,
Seven spirits brought to three,
One remains the one to cover,*
And another I can't see
Distance parts me from my teacher,
Age parts me from my mind,
From their every move and feature,
Left with toxicity to bind,
How can I choose from you three suitors,
When you haven't love to share?
Thou art my mentors and polluters,
Giving false sense that you care,
So I am left with no more answers,
To rid the loneliness left in store,
Born under the stars of dreamers and dancers,
Dying thus under will be my cure.

Stream of Conscience
Nameless Lover
watching God
from afar
from a place near stars
where hunters came
to hunt
and travel to blue
celestial rings
and terror behind the doors
from blackness
found in truth
where the void came from
and was destroyed
obliterated
shattered
torn
looking for wonders
in places taken back by your God
Hearken and sense of loss
for you and my people
their lacerations
in shadows
asking you:
to take your horses down from the stove
Golden Brown
Boiled Alive
like Moira
yesteryear and wanderlust
betwixt upon reverie
brevity
of sweet dreams
call to madness
deliberate
belligerent
Sacred...Pure

Il Canto di Notte
Oh savior clad in pristine white,
Forsake the keeper of the night,
And show to those who cannot sleep,
Alluring visions of your keep,
Oh savior pray for those long gone,
Forsake the ones who've done no wrong,
And save them from their binding spell,
Alluring prophets can't foretell,
Oh savior shroud me from the pain.
Forsake the cold stuck in the rain,
And keep in mind that you must hold,
Alluring secrets I have told,
Oh savior save me from the storm,
Forsake the damned in your arms so warm,
And please don't tell me that you've lied,
Alluring whispers, "by your side..."
Oh savior shield me from this strife,
Forsake the burden of my life,
And forgive me for trying to be a part,
Alluring ideas of winning your heart,
Oh savior scrapped of rock and tin,
Forsake the heart I cannot win,
And blind my eyes from all the plight,
Alluring fall into endless night,
Oh Savior Clad in Pristine White,
Forsake the Keeper of the Night,
And Show to Those Who cannot Sleep,
Alluring Visions of Your Keep...

You,
The Devil,
With sullen eyes,
Your pity,
Is worthless,
it matches your lies,
You,
Satan,
Who wants remorse,
Save it,
You aren't,
Apt to discourse,
You,
Shadow,
Overcast,
Your weakness,
Subjective,
From your past,
You,
Demon,
Overthrow,
The balance,
Your kingdom,
Awaits you below,
You,
Poor man,
Crying in shame,
Your wailing,
Your wallows,
You've none to blame,
You,
Gutless Lowman,
Whose little brave,
No shame,
Not humble,
No premature grave,
I,
The phoenix,
From Selene do I rise,
No mercy,
But no anger,
I sever our ties...

But no anger,
I sever our ties...
Vindication
Windswept motion long forgotten,
Sweeping stairways, soft, begotten,
Burning crosses, listless plains,
Ailments spreading, heartfelt pains,
Tender secrets, hearts so bleak,
Daring motions tempt to speak,
Shout and yell and scream to tell,
A plight existent, reminiscent hell,
Gentle notions mask the tears,
Of fearsome foe faced sorrowed years,
Embers spark up lost desire,
Tending passion like a fire,
Lovelorn lovers met with doom,
Burning heartache lead to a tomb,
An azure place made Gray from stars,
Passed by lovers, trains, and cars,
Beauty bound in rules and laws,
Escape their indictments, avoid their claws,
Run past heaven and find a place,
Jealous angels will scathe thine face,
Speak the truth of what they've done,
Cathartic power to free your son,
When painless memories are in your eyes,
To part this world, I am one with the skies....

Opening Post
Hey Everyone! (though technically only Angela)
I think I've finally found a place where I can post my poetry. If not to be viewed, at least now I can have it all in one place. I'll start with the older stuff before I put anything new on.
Sincerest Regards!
