Think of Me (won the 2007 FSEMS poetry slam)

When the darkness plucks asunder,
When the moonlight is obscure,
When the heavens sound the thunder,
When the skies begin to pour,
Think of me...

When the wind speaks of madness,
When twilight gives its cry,
When the willows groan with sadness,
When the summer starts to die,
Think of me...

When you find legends full of power,
When the secrets do unfold,
When you hold an azure flower,
When you reflect on days of old,
Think of me...

When you look for more than darkness,
When you gently kiss the rain,
When a stranger gives you kindness,
When there's strength behind the pain,
Think of me...

When you sit and you are crying,
When you think that you're alone,
When you feel that you are dying,
When you kneel beside my stone,
Think of me...

When your days are dark and tragic,
When I whisper in the night,
When nature shows her magick,
When you look and find the light,
Think of me...

When you see a little spider,
When the moon touches your face,
When your problems feel much lighter,
When you see an insect's grace,
Think of me...

When you push away the sorrow,
When you feel the autumn sun,
When you dream about tomorrow,
When you knew I was the one,
Think of me...

When the darkness plucks asunder,
When the moonlight is obscure,
When the heavens sound the thunder,
When the skies begin to pour,
Think of me...

(Wow... so much time has gone by since I wrote this one, and yet, I still feel so connected to it. This is the poem that started all the others.)
