(I finally had an inspiration big enough to create a poem eponymous to my blog.)
A poet's mind and heart do speak-
Of trodden souls with mindset bleak,
Of tender pangs upon my heart,
Embracing all, and from all part,
What does a poet have to say-
When life's no longer disarray?
When heartstrings lose their innate pain?
In place of love as soft as rain...
I may just have to sacrifice,
A bit of wit- and thoughts of vice,
A cynical and downcast view,
And change my thoughts to thoughts of you,
Thoughts of you- thoughts by me,
A love I want the world to see,
A feeling never felt before,
No mix of woe, just old grandeur,
So this is where the magic lies,
Encompassed in your deep brown eyes,
Encompassed in a mind so grand,
Resounding in a gentle hand,
This poem's a start; I promise more,
To write of the one I so adore,
To write with passion swift and bold,
For your soul of silver and heart of gold.
