Pisces

All good things come to an end, and sometimes its like a tumultuous downward slope.

In February I was offered a chance,
An ill-fated token of potential romance,
A daring adventure- a starlit dance,
Drove at my heart, not by arrow, by lance,

Ethereal and elated, ecstatic feelings for you,
Arisen like thunder, across a sky warm and blue,
Moments like these were so wondrous, so new,
Against all odds, these feelings grew,

The sonata continued, two years passed,
Remarkable, that time moved so fast,
But then Janus condemned me, as did Selene and Bast,
With warnings that love wouldn't, couldn't last,

Now where two lives combined, it's just one and one,
That thin red string is frayed; undone,
What once was a moon, is a setting sun,
That reflects in my eyes, telling my heart that I'm done,

But moving forward is a joyous thing,
The beginning and ending, for both do we sing,
Someday two years will seem more like a fling,
Someday he'll find you, and he'll give you a ring...
