To my grandmother on thoughts of Christmas

I guess I forgot to post this. o.o" It was part of my grandmother's Christmas gift.

To My Grandmother on Thoughts of Christmas:
Traditions are attached to each and every holiday,
Bringing with them memories of joy; and sometimes strife,
Pfaltzgraff, Churchill, and Blue Willow on display,
Will remain a vivid memory in the next years of my life,

But of all the finest silver, the china, and the glass,
There is just one that looks the best in your abode,
Gleaming white, and trimmed with green- such elegance and class,
I'll never, ever, wipe away those thoughts of Christmas Spode.

There's something about it's magic that simply warms my heart,
The fondness that we share for it is something to hold dear,
And even if this family completely tears apart,
I'll be ever-enchanted when Christmas time is near,

There are not words to thank you for all the things you've done,
There are not ways to show you gratitude for empathy,
There are no seats of honor higher than being your grandson,
Save for these wonderful traditions that you've passed on down to me.
